Hida Visuals joins The Gullah Project

The Gullah Project proudly announces our partnership with Hida Visuals. Andrew Hida, co-founder of Spēk Pictures, will take the lead in editing the documentary film due out in December.

Hida is a multimedia storyteller and visual journalist who specializes in telling stories about health, environmental, and social justice issues and photojournalism, which was a key element in our decision to partner with his agency.

The team includes Andrew Maclean and Drew Jordan who are also co-founders of Spēk Pictures. Maclean is a multimedia producer, photographer and videographer. He has worked on projects such as Emmy-nominated project Undesired by MediaStorm. Jordan specializes in motion graphics, video editing, web design and photo illustrations.

All three attended graduate school at S.I. Newhouse School of Public Communications at Syracuse University. They all have extensive experience working at MediaStorm production and design studio.  A partial client list includes USA Today, The New York Times, Blue Chalk, The Seattle Times, The Telegraph and The Atlantic.
