Owned by Bill Green, The Gullah Grub restaurant is located in the heart of St. Helena Island. Most of the produce comes from the Marshview Community Organic Farm, also on the island. Green and his restaurant have been featured in publications and cooking shows nationwide for his traditional Gullah recipes. The business serves as a watering hole where locals and tourists mingle, young people can learn a trade, and where Green works to carry his culture into the future.
Once a year they host a big dinner where the students practice all their skills and treat the people who have helped them along the way.
